Product and order contents
« Disparition à Valombre » is a fictional deduction mystery designed for two adults and also playable alone. The offer includes a PDF with eight pages of gameplay, a separate PDF with three pages of progressive hints and solutions, and an illustrated HTML companion to download and open offline in a browser.
One order provides access to seventeen editions in sixteen languages: French, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic, Bengali, Portuguese, Indonesian, Urdu, German, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Dutch and Swedish. Chinese has two written editions. These are translations of the same case file, not seventeen different mysteries.
This is a one-time supply of downloadable digital content, without a subscription. The order does not include any physical materials.
The free demo is an independent story. Thirty to forty minutes is a design target, not a guaranteed duration or a duration measured with external players. Once the solution is known, the same mystery no longer offers the same experience of discovery.
Functionality and compatibility
The PDFs require a PDF reader. They can be viewed on screen or printed on A4 paper in black and white. A printer and any paper required are not supplied.
The companion is a self-contained HTML file to open in a browser that supports HTML, CSS and JavaScript. An internet connection is required to buy and download the files; the companion can then be used offline.
Notes entered in the companion remain in memory while it is being used; they are not saved automatically. Save any notes you wish to keep separately before closing or reloading the file.
The personal download link provides access to the order. Downloaded files can be stored locally and used offline under the personal-use licence below.
Price and payment
The reference price is 6,90 EUR, including taxes, for a one-time purchase without a subscription. Checkout displays the total amount and currency before confirmation. Local-currency presentation depends on the buyer’s country and the options offered by Stripe, not on the language of the website.
A currency conversion offered at checkout may include an exchange-rate markup. The buyer’s bank or payment method may also charge its own fees. The buyer should review the amount and information displayed before paying.
Payment uses Stripe Managed Payments. Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe subsidiary, acts as merchant of record for these transactions. It is not the seller of record: the trader identified above remains responsible for the product, its delivery, its quality and compliance with the rights applicable to that product.

Eligible payment methods and countries are those offered by that flow; translations of the website do not guarantee that purchases are possible in every country.
Delivery and access
Access is granted after payment is confirmed. A personal link is sent to the email address provided during payment; downloads are also accessible from the payment return page. Merely returning to that page does not, by itself, constitute confirmation of payment.
The delivery email is sent through AgentMail from ludenote-delivery@agentmail.to. AgentMail receives the order email address and the content of the email. Information about data processing is set out in the privacy page: https://ludenote.com/fr/privacy .
Keep the downloaded files and the personal link, which must remain confidential. If a download does not work, contact support@mail.ludenote.com without making another payment for the same order.
Stripe sends payment documents and refund notifications separately. They do not replace the Ludenote email that provides access to the case file.
Personal use of the files
The purchase permits viewing and printing the files for personal use. It does not permit their resale, publication or distribution to third parties. The personal link must not be shared publicly.
The consumer’s statutory rights, including withdrawal and legal guarantees, are not limited by this licence. A refund or payment dispute may result in suspension of access to the download link for the order concerned.
Contact for legal guarantees
The trader identified in the section “Trader’s identity and contact details” is responsible for the legal guarantees relating to the digital content. You may contact the trader using the postal address, telephone number and email address provided in that section. To help process your request, specify the order concerned, the affected file and the problem encountered; these details do not impose any additional condition on the exercise of your rights.
If content has a defect covered by the legal guarantee, you may request that it be brought into conformity. We will correct the file or provide a conforming version without undue delay, free of charge and without significant inconvenience to you. Any refusal will be explained in writing and may only be based on the impossibility of bringing the content into conformity or a disproportionate cost under the conditions laid down by law.
In the circumstances provided for by law, you may request a proportionate price reduction or terminate the contract. After termination, you must stop using the content concerned and sharing it with third parties. Amounts legally due will be refunded no later than fourteen days after your notification, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, at no cost to you.
Corrections necessary to maintain conformity will be provided for the legally applicable period, assessed in light of the nature of the files, their purpose and the contract. This obligation is not a promise of new mysteries, expansions or additional features.
Legal guarantee of conformity — one-time supply
The consumer has two years from the supply of the digital content or digital service to invoke the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity becomes apparent. During a period of one year from the date of supply, the consumer is only required to establish the existence of the lack of conformity, not the date on which it arose.
The legal guarantee of conformity includes an obligation to supply all updates necessary to maintain the conformity of the digital content or digital service.
The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the digital content or digital service brought into conformity without undue delay following their request, free of charge and without significant inconvenience to them.
The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the digital content or digital service, or terminate the contract and receive a full refund in exchange for giving up the digital content or digital service, if:
1° The trader refuses to bring the digital content or digital service into conformity;
2° Bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity is unduly delayed;
3° The digital content or digital service cannot be brought into conformity without charges being imposed on the consumer;
4° Bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity causes significant inconvenience to the consumer;
5° The lack of conformity of the digital content or digital service persists despite the trader’s unsuccessful attempt to bring it into conformity.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or termination of the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination. In that case, the consumer is not required to first request that the digital content or digital service be brought into conformity.
Where the lack of conformity is minor, the consumer is only entitled to cancellation of the contract if the contract does not provide for payment of a price.
Any period during which the digital content or digital service is unavailable while it is being brought into conformity suspends the remaining guarantee period until conforming digital content or a conforming digital service is supplied again.
The rights set out above arise from the application of articles L. 224-25-1 to L. 224-25-31 of the French Consumer Code.
A trader who obstructs the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity in bad faith may incur a civil fine of up to 300 000 euros, which may be increased to 10 % of average annual turnover (article L. 242-18-1 of the French Consumer Code).
The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against latent defects under articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code for two years from the discovery of the defect. This guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if they retain the digital content or digital service, or a full refund in exchange for giving up the digital content or digital service.
Withdrawal and cancellation
The Sold Through Link terms provide consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom with a fourteen-day cancellation period from access to or delivery of the product. Downloading is not presented as an automatic waiver of this right.

Other refunds and complaints
Other refund requests are reviewed under the Sold Through Link terms and policy, without prejudice to applicable mandatory rights. Their policy takes precedence over any more restrictive Ludenote provision. Sold through Link’s ability to issue a refund within sixty days is not a general sixty-day money-back guarantee.
For a defective file, an access problem or a product that does not match its description, also contact support@mail.ludenote.com. No absolute refusal of refunds is provided for. Application of the Sold Through Link policy does not remove your legal guarantees.
